MOMA RECEIVED $40 MILLION GIFT

New York’s Museum of Modern Art has received a $40 million dollar gift, the largest in its 85 year history.

moma buildingThe money is from the Kenneth C. Griffin Charitable Fund which was created by Citadel Founder and CEO Kenneth Griffin and will support MoMA’s mission to provide education and exhibits of modern and contemporary art to a global audience.  In recognition, MoMA will rename its iconic 1964 Philip Johnson-designed building, the Kenneth C. Griffin Building.

Griffin is an active philanthropist, supporting a wide range of organizations in the fields of education, medicine and culture.
