There’s a new exhibition at the John F Kennedy and Presidential Library and Museum offering a rare look into the late U.S. president’s early years.
Young Jack
”Young Jack” features some never before seen items – a set of crutches, his wooden school desk with his initials carved into it.
The museum curator says the exhibit focuses on Kennedy’s military service, which was a defining moment for the future president, who was underachieving and mischievous in high school.
Other items part of this display include photos from his days at his Connecticut boarding school and his Navy and Marine Corps Medal and Purple Heart Medal.
”Young Jack” will remain as part of the museum’s permanent galleries.
