Election day is 10 days off, but you can cast an early ballot as soon as today. Advance polling for the federal vote takes place over four days from today through Monday, noon to 8pm, each day.  Information on where you can vote is on your election card which you should’ve received by now in the mail.

If you haven’t made up your mind, family events over this long weekend could help with that. Andrew Cohen is an author and professor of journalism at Carleton University. He told Zoomer Radio’s Goldhawk Fights Back, voters will have an opportunity to debate the ideas and issues with loved ones and friends over the next few days.

“Going into Thanksgiving weekend, which pollsters say is quite important, because family gets together or friends get together and talk about things and perhaps reinforce each others’ preferences or challenge them. So I think going into Thanksgiving weekend, the numbers are quite important and the trend seems to be fairly clear. It’s a two-party race now,” explained Cohen.

The latest overnight tracking by Nanos Research gives the Liberals 34 percent voter support nationwide, followed by the Conservatives at 31 percent and the NDP at 25 percent.
