The province has reached a settlement with the union representing 35,500 members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU).
The civil servants include administrative support staff, social workers, those in information technology systems, enforcement and correctional officers.
Deputy Premier Deb Matthews says the deal is ”a net-zero and is consistent with the fiscal plan” of the Wynne government.
OPSEU President Smokey Thomas says he now looks forward to getting back to the bargaining table for corrections workers.
