A heat warning has been issued for the City of Toronto.
The alert cautions against several days of 30 C temperatures – beginning Saturday and sizzling through the long Labour Day weekend.
The warning also applies to several other areas of Ontario, including Mississauga, Brampton, Hamilton, Burlington, Milton, Oakville and the Niagara region.
Temperatures are expected to taper off and return to normal seasonal values Wednesday and Thursday – with highs in the low 20’s.
