The Toronto tunnel mystery has been solved!  Toronto Police have issued a news release saying that two men told investigators they built the tunnel for personal reasons.  Investigators have verified their account and are satisfied there was neither criminal intent nor any threat to the people or city of Toronto. They say the investigation has been concluded.

The discovery of a bunker-like tunnel in a forest not far from the Rexall Centre generated enormous interest last week after news of its discovery went public.  There were concerns the tunnel could’ve been designed to be a threat to security because the Rexall Centre is the tennis venue for this summer’s Pan Am Games.
