That compares with 77,391 for the municipal election of 2010.

Toronto City Clerk Ulli Watkiss says, ”We are pleased that Toronto saw the highest advance vote since amalgamation.  We hope this trend continues into Election Day and encourage all eligible electors to come out and vote on October 27.”

Voting places will be open from 10am to 8pm next Monday at 1,679 locations across the city.

Electors are reminded to bring their voter information card and identification showing their name and address.

Anyone who did not get a card, or who is not on the voters’ list, can be added to the list at the polling station.
