The Stratford Festival is into its final week of the 2014 season. Colm Feore will lead the cast in four more performances of King Lear.

Meanwhile, the Festival has announced its major casting for next year.

Jonathan Goad will open the season as Hamlet. He’ll be supported by Geraint Wyn Davies and Seana McKenna as Claudius and Gertrude. McKenna and Wyn Davies will also co-star with Graham Abbey in The Physicists.

Ben Carlson and American Stephanie Rothenberg will star in The Sound of Music. Carlson and Deborah Hay will play Petrucchio and Kate in Taming of the Shrew.

In the other major musical, Jonathan Winsby will star with Stratford newcomer Alexis Gordon in Carousel.

Tickets for the 2015 season go on sale to the general public January 2nd.
