A new poll on the Toronto mayoral race shows John Tory pulling ahead again.

This morning’s Forum Research survey is the first one since Forum reported Tory and Doug Ford in a statistical tie more than a week ago.

The latest poll of decided and leaning voters shows Tory now has 39 per cent support. Ford is second with 33 per cent. Olivia Chow remains a distant third at 23 per cent.

Tory’s strongest support is in the old city of Toronto and East York. He also leads in Doug Ford’s home turf of Etobicoke and is tied with Ford in Scarborough. Ford has a strong lead in North York.

Last week’s close result may have been due to a small sampling size in the 18-to-34 demographic appearing to give Ford more support.

Tory has now led in 16 consecutive polls since the end of July.

The vote will be taken in eleven days. Advance polling continues all this week.
