The chemotherapy treatments are taking their toll on Toronto’s mayor.
A weary-looking, frail-sounding Rob Ford says he wanted to support his brother Doug’s bid for the mayor’s job as he cast his ballot at an advance polling station in Etobicoke.
Speaking outside the polling station, Rob Ford said, ”my brother’s going to be the best mayor the city’s ever had – absolutely.”
He pulled out of the mayor’s race after being admitted to hospital last month and is campaigning for his former council seat.
Ford, who’s between treatments for a rare, aggressive cancer, says he’s tired and not feeling ”very good.”
He returns to hospital October 29 – two days after the election.
