A chilling warning from The World Health Organization – about Ebola.
The W.H.O. says it’s almost inevitable that Europe will see more cases of Ebola within its borders.
But the organization also says the Continent is well prepared to control the disease.
Europe’s first case of Ebola has been confirmed in a nurse in Spain – and the W.H.O.’s European director says such events are “unavoidable” given the extensive travel both from Europe to the affected countries- and the other way around.
Ebola has affected approximately 7,200 people in west Africa – killing 3,400.
It’s the largest outbreak of the disease in history.
Cases have also been imported into Senegal, Nigeria and the U.S.
The infection is passed through direct contact with bodily fluids.
