Doctors at a hospital in Dallas, Texas, are treating the first case of Ebola identified in North America.
An unidentified man who was in West Africa two weeks ago began showing symptoms of the deadly virus after arriving in the US.
Authorities have begun tracking down family, friends and anyone else who may have come in close contact with him and could be at risk.
Authorities say it is an isolated case. No one else has been diagnosed.
Meanwhile, Ontario’s health minister says the chances of Ebola spreaking to Canada are extremely rare. Dr. Eric Hoskins says it would be unlikely even if a case were diagnosed in Canada. Hoskins says public health officials have been put on alert and are being trained to contain and treat any cases that do show up in Canada.
