The Health Canada agency is being swamped by a so-called “green rush.”

That’s because the number of Canadian companies applying for lucrative licenses for medical marijuana – tops one thousand.

So far,  there have been only two new licenses approved this summer – as Health Canada tightens application rules – and many edgy investors await news on their multi-million dollar bids.

Some 13 licensed producers in Canada are providing medical marijuana to patients – and another 9 approved producers are about to enter the market.
