Multiple sources are reporting that the RCMP plans to lay criminal charges against Senators Patrick Brazeau and Mac Harb. The fraud and breach of trust charges are expected to be laid out at a news conference in Ottawa this morning. Harb, a former Liberal senator, resigned last summer after police investigators alleged he should not have collected a housing allowance. Brazeau, a former Conservative, was suspended from the Senate after similar allegations. The RCMP is also investigating expenses claimed by former Conservatives Mike Duffy and Pamela Wallin, who are also under suspension from the house. They are not expected to be charged today.
