CRIME NOVELIST HENNING MANKELL DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER

Henning Mankell, says he has cancer. The Swedish author wrote on his website today that he received quote: a serious diagnosis of cancer after going to a hospital to check out a hernia in the neck. Mankell says he is undergoing tests before a decision is made on which treatments he will receive. Mankell who turns 66 on February 3rd is best known for his mystery novels featuring the gloomy inspector Kurt Wallander. His books have been translated into dozens of languages and have sold more than 40 million copies.
