Canada’s Prime Minister has removed any doubt about Canada’s support for Israel’s existence. In a speech today in the Israeli parliament he said anyone who opposes the existence of the Jewish state is little more than a hateful anti-Semite. Harper made history with the speech. It is the first time a sitting Canadian Prime Minister has addressed the Knesset. Harper’s remarks received several long standing ovations. However, an Arab-Israeli politician shouted Israel is an apartheid state then stormed out. Prime Minister Harper also announced today that Canada is offering new economic aid to the Palestinians, worth 66-million dollars.
