Could fresh fruits and vegetables be a sort of vaccine against impotence? A new Canadian study suggests men with diabetes are less likely to have erectile dysfuncion if they eat plenty of fresh produce and the beneficial effect seems to increase with each serving consumed. Experts say the findings by researchers at the Public Health Agency of Canada could alternatively be an indication simply that an overall healthy diet helps avert erectile problems. Doctor Jan Hux is the Canadian Diabetes Association’s Chief Scientific Officer. She says, “for men who are really demoralized and discouraged by erectile dysfunction, who have have a sense of hopelessness, eating fresh produce is something that’s really practical they can do to help the situation.”
