Ian Troop has been fired as CEO of the 2015 Toronto Pan Am / Parapan Am Games.

He was reportedly sacked over ”leadership issues” although TO2015’s board gave no reason for the move.

Replacing Troop is former Ontario deputy health minister Saad Rafi.

Organizing committee chair and former premier David Peterson says there are different skills required at different phases of such complex endeavours.

Peterson adds the Games, which open July 10, 2015, are in ”very good shape”.
