The most-visited museum in the world is beginning to wonder if it has a forgery problem.

The Louvre isn’t worried about the  items on display, but with the tickets to see those items.

Staff at the famed Paris museum began to notice Chinese tourists showing up this summer with tickets that appeared to be forgeries. And, in come cases, not very good ones.

Customs officials in Belgium also seized a cache of 4,000 counterfeit tickets in a parcel from China.

French investigators are now looking into the possibility that a network of forgers is conning tour groups.

A regular ticket to the Louvre costs about twenty-two dollars.
