It was one of the more unusual renditions of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”. Canadian NHL legend Bobby Hull belted out his own version of the American sports classic during yesterday’s 7th inning stretch at Chicago’s Wrigley Field. 74 year old Hull relied on the crowd to carry the tune at times and used a piece of paper to help him remember the words. You can see Bobby singing for yourself here
Many regard Bobby Hull as one of the greatest hockey players of all time. He was well known for his blonde hair, very fast skating speed, and very hard slapshot, which earned him the nickname “the Golden Jet“. Hull was born in Belleville, Ontario on January 3, 1939.
