There was more heavy rain, and more flooding, in Toronto last night.

It was nothing like the big deluge of last month, but fire crews had to be dispatched to help pedestrians and vehicles get out of a flooded underpass on Lower Simcoe Street. Firefighters rescued  people who were stranded when two taxis tried to plow through the collected water that turned out to be a metre deep.

It was the same underpass where a driver had to abandon a Ferrari during last month’s record storm.

Some areas of Toronto received 25 millimetres of rain in a one-hour period.
