Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird met with the leader of the country’s opposition coalition in Montreal today.
Baird says Canadians are outraged by the chemical attack in Damascus last week against its citizens.
But he says Canada will wait for the international community response before deciding what role it will assume in the conflict.
The United Nations is urging patience as chemical weapons inspectors complete their investigation.
