Canadian researchers breaking new ground in aging brain health have been given a $1-million gift from the estate of Anne Tanenbaum.  A news release from Toronto’s Baycrest says the money will establish the Anne Tanenbaum Kick Start Grants Program, allowing Baycrest’s most brilliant minds to pursue their research and innovative solutions for the aging population.

Larry Tanenbaum says, “Baycrest is incredibly important to my family and the innovative research happening at the Rotman Research Institute is changing the way we age and the future of brain health.  We want to support that.”  Randy McIntosh is the VP of Research at Baycrest.  He says, “the funding will speed up the capacity to translate scientific findings to support the design and development of new technologies and therapies for sustainable brain health.”
