If your commute takes you downtown, you are in for a traffic headache for the next couple of weeks.  The intersection of Spadina Avenue and King Street West is scheduled to close in all four directions for TTC track replacement work starting at 10am today until August 20th.  All eastbound traffic on King Street approaching Spadina will be detoured to Bathurst Street, Portland Street or Brant Street.  All westbound traffic on King approaching Spadina will be routed to John Street , Peter Street or Charlotte Street.

Alternative eastbound and westbound routes include Front Street, Adelaide Street and Queen Street.  Bathurst Street and University Avenue are alternatives for northbound and southbound traffic.

Pedestrians will still be able to access businesses and walkways at King and Spadina.
