The battle of the bulge as we age  includes avoiding high-calorie foods.

But Zoomers know how difficult that can be.

Now there’s a new temptation the cronut.

It’s croissant dough fried like a doughnut.

It’s the brainchild of pastry chef Dominique Ansel  named one of the Top 10 Pastry Chefs  in the United States by Dessert Professional Magazine.

The pastry sells for 5-dollars and is said to be so popular that frustrated customers unable to get their hands on it have resorted to tears and abuse towards staff.

Cronuts are now being scalped on Craigslist for up to eight times their original retail price.
