An honour for Carol Burnett, who became famous for playing a variety of characters in sketch comedy routines on her namesake television show.
She’s been named the winner of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
The 80-year-old will be given the award at a gala ceremony at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on October 20th.
Burnett says it’s almost impossible to be funnier than the people in Washington.
