An Alzheimer s safety program aimed at people with dementia from different ethnic backgrounds has been unveiled.

The Finding Your Way campaign  is meant to deal with the problem of wandering by people with dementia.

David Harvey with the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, says the campaign includes a safety kit  to help caregivers and other family members prepare for wondering incidents, and provide the information that caregivers need to provide to police.

There’s more information on-line at:  Finding Your Way Ontario.ca or by calling the Alzheimer Society at 211.

The Alzheimer Society says that three out of five people with dementia go missing at some point often without warning.
