A nasty winter storm arrives late tonight, but the amount of snow we get is expected to vary across the GTA.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement about a low pressure system from Texas that’s heading our way. It’s expected to hit Southwestern Ontario this afternoon and push towards the Toronto area this evening.
The temperature is expected to be milder close to Lake Ontario, which means the precipitation will hit as rain or wet snow leaving about 5 centimetres of snow overnight and an additional 5 centimetres tomorrow.
But, in Northern areas of the GTA and in the traditional snowbelt regions of southern Ontario, anywhere from 15-to-20 centimetres of snow could accumulate by tomorrow night.
