There are germ-killers — and then there’s Trudi.
That’s the name staffers have given a germ-killing, U-V-ray-blasting robot that’s being tested at Vancouver General Hospital.
The device uses powerful ultraviolet light to kill germs and viruses such as norovirus and C. difficile in hospital rooms.
When turned on, a robotic voice gives a 15-second countdown before a bright blue light shines, reflecting around the room and killing germs, bugs and bacteria.
