You’ve probably noticed it’s more difficult to maintain a healthy body weight as you get older. But according to a new study by American and Spanish researchers, it doesn’t have to be that way. Frank Scheer is with the Harvard Medical School and one of the study’s authors. He says the “timing” of meals can predict weight loss effectiveness. Scheer and his colleagues found that people who ate early in the day were able to manage their hunger well and lost about 25 percent more weight than people who consumed calories late in the day. The research is published in the International Journal of Obesity.
