Kathleen Wynne will recall the legislature for February 19th.
Ontario’s new Premier-designate is meeting with her transition team today to begin the process of putting a new face on the Liberal government.
In a series of interviews this morning, Wynne outlined her priorities. She wants to reach out to teachers to find an end to the impasse and return extra-curricular activities to students. But she also says she will not tear up the contracts that were imposed under Bill 115.
She also promises to honour Finance Minister Dwight Duncan’s pledge to balance the books by 2018. But she wants to find new revenue streams to improve education and health care; and to improve transportation, especially in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
