Theresa Spence will end her six-week-long fast this morning.
Several First Nations elders will gather at the teepee on the Ottawa River this morning where the Attawapiskat Chief has been on a liquid-only protest since December
The elders will join Spence in a “walking out ceremony.”
Her protest is coming to and end after federal opposition leaders and senior chiefs worked out a 13-point declaration that natives want governments to address.
They include a meeting between the Governor General, federal and provincial governments, and all First Nations; and immediate improvements to aboriginal housing.
