The TTC is considering a recommendation to limit the number of strollers allowed on buses and streetcars.
A woman complained to the Commission last week that large, bulky strollers take space away from riders during busy commute times. She recommended charging extra for strollers, or putting a limit on how many a vehicle can carry.
TTC CEO Andy Byford says they are considering the complaint, but would rather not impose blanket restrictions on strollers, except under extreme circumstances.
TTC Chair Karen Stintz also doesn’t like the idea. She says they don’t charge for bicycles, walkers, or scooters, so they shouldn’t charge for strollers.
