Zoomers experiencing problems with eye sight may be interested to know there’s been a breakthrough in sight restoration – in mice.

The BBC reports totally blind mice have had their sight restored by injections of light-sensing cells into their eyes.

It quotes researchers at Oxford as saying the injections are similar to the treatments required by people with degenerative eye disease.

However, the report adds that there are still questions about the quality of the restored vision.
