Mayor Rob Ford will take his second high-level meeting in as many days to discuss funding to control Toronto’s gun problems.

Ford will sit down with Prime Minister Harper during the noon hour in the aftermath of the worst shooting in Toronto’s history.

Yesterday, the Mayor emerged from a meeting with Premier Dalton McGuinty with a guarantee of ongoing funding for the Toronto Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy, or TAVIS, which puts additional police officers into high-risk areas.

Today’s meeting with the Prime Minister takes place at 43 Division, the police unit that patrols the area where last week’s shootings took place.
