According to Elton John’s lyricist Bernie Taupin, the album is all done and recorded.

But unlike the music on his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” world tour, this music will be all new material because Elton says he’s not interested in the past, not even his own.

It’ll be the music legend’s 32nd studio album and Taupin says he thinks it will “surprise” and “excite.”

And if that’s not enough, Sir Elton is apparently working on two musicals and is “open to any great ideas.”

The new “surprise” album will apparently drop in a few weeks time..
