Mississauga residents may cast a ballot in the city’s mayoral byelection starting Friday.
Byelection day is June 10th, but advance voting begins May 24th.
It’s being held May 24th and 25th at Mississauga Civic Centre and then again on June 1st and 2nd when advance voting will be available at multiple locations in each ward.
In all, there are 16 candidates looking to succeed Bonnie Crombie, who stepped down to become the Ontario Liberal Leader.
In the running are three sitting members of Mississauga City Council – Dipika Damerla, Stephen Dasko and Alvin Tedjo – and one former councillor, Carolyn Parrish, who stepped down to run for mayor.
And Bonnie Crombie’s ex-husband, Brian Crombie, is also running to become Mississauga’s next mayor.
