Movie fan’s will remember him as Captain Edward Smith in James Cameron’s “Titanic.”

Actor Bernard Hill also delivered a rousing cry before leading his people into battle as Thoden, King of Rohan in the Lord of the Rings franchise.

Hill died yesterday in London.

Hill first made a name for himself in a 1982 British TV mini series about five unemployed men that won best drama series from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Bernard Hill was 79.
