A veteran of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and most recently president of the Dallas Symphony is taking over the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
55-year old Kim Nolteme will become president in July.
One of her first orders of business will be guiding the search for a successor to music director Gustavo Dudamel. He’s to depart for the New York Philharmonic after the 2025-26 season.
