Glasgow-born actor Brian McCardie has died unexpectedly at the age of 59.

McCardie’s sister confirms he passed away on the weekend and called him a wonderful and passionate actor on stage and screen.

McCardie enjoyed a career spanning almost three decades with appearances on “EastEnders” among other shows.
