Cafe T-O season will be kicking off earlier than ever before after the application and renewal process was streamlined and made more user-friendly.
The city’s on track to have 90% of approved curb lane patios ready for business by the Victoria Day long weekend.
More than 1,000 patios will be opened as part of Cafe T-O; in its second-year as a permanent program to boost Toronto’s main streets and renowned dining scene.
Over 500 sidewalk cafes will remain in place year round and more than 650 on private property with 290 curb lane patios will stay open until October 15.
Installation of traffic safety equipment started this weekend in the east-end and will continue across the city until June 1st.
