The wife of famed film director Francis Ford Coppola, who was involved in the film business as well, has died.

The family confirms Eleanor Coppola’s death but did not release a cause.

Eleanor met Francis while working as an assistant art director on his first movie.

They married in 1963 and then she made her own films about the making of her husband’s films.

Eleanor Coppola was 87.
