RCMP comissioner Mike Duheme says the police service has several investigations underway into possible interference in the 2019 and 2021 general elections that began after the last election.

Duheme cited the integrity of the probes, privacy concerns and public safety as reasons from withholding the number or nature of the investigations after appearing before the federal inquiry into foreign interference.
Deputy commissioner Mark Flynn also provided little else, only indicating that some leads emerged from individuals ”speaking about their own experiences very publicly,” including in the Commons.
Former Conservative leader Erin O’Toole, Tory MP Michael Chong and NDP MP Jenny Kwan have all been publicly identified as possible targets of interference by Beijing.
