An early spring storm is approaching and is expected to bring strong winds, rain and the potential for wet snow in Toronto with a possibility of power outages.
A special weather statement has been issued by Environment Canada detailing how a Colorado low moves into the Toronto area on Tuesday and continues through Wednesday with the rain transitioning to wet snow for Wednesday night and Thursday.
Rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 millimetres are possible by Wednesday evening with only trace amounts of wet snow expected after that.
Tuesday night’s wind gusts could be as strong as 70 kilometres an hour but will ease Wednesday.
