The recall by Kia Canada has to do with the axle shafts on all Telluride models between 2020 and this year.

Transport Canada says the potential safety threat is a vehicle ”may not have been manufactured properly.”

This might cause it to move ”when it’s parked and the parking brakes isn’t applied,” which may result in an injury or crash.

About 18,567 affected vehicles are being recalled in this country.

Owners will get a notice by mail with the recommendation the Tellurides be taken to a dealer to update ”the electronic parking brake software.”

More than 427,000 of the same models are being recalled stateside.
