The state funeral for former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney was held today at Notre Dame Basilica in Montreal.

Mulroney had been lying in repose for several days at another Montreal cathedral until today.

Mulroney’s daughter Caroline, was first to eulogize her father, followed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Mulroney served as prime minister from 1984 to 1993 and is best remembered for his work on NAFTA and the fight against acid rain.

He died in Florida on February 29th at the age of 84.

Mulroney is survived by his wife Mila and four children.
