Voters across Russia continue to cast ballots in an election that will see President Vladimir Putin remain in power for six more years.
Putin faces no serious challengers, after he and his forces crushed all political dissent during his nearly 25 years of rule.
Even so, at least a half dozen cases of vandalism were reported at polling stations throughout the country.
The vandalism included a firebombing, as well as several people pouring green liquid into ballot boxes. That’s an apparent nod to late opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who was attacked in 2017 and splashed in the face with green disinfectant.
Navalny died at a remote Arctic penal colony last month.
