SHORT TERM SIGNIFICANT CHANGES COMING FOR LAKESHORE WEST GO TRAIN RIDERS

Lakeshore West GO Train riders, in Oakville and Burlington, as well as Mississauga and Hamilton, will see some significant changes for a couple of days later this month.

A statement from GO Transit and Metrolinx says there will be construction on the Lakeshore West line that will see “buses replace trains” throughout the days of March 23rd and 24th and in some cases, in the evening of March 22nd.

From the Hamilton GO Centre on March 23-24, if you’re travelling eastbound towards Union Station, “please connect with a replacement route 18 GO bus,” GO Transit said on its website.

From the Aldershot GO on March 23-24, commuters can connect to a GO bus at Aldershot GO to the Union Station Bus Terminal.

From Appleby GO, if you’re travelling to Union Station on March 23-24, you can connect to Burlington Transit Route 1 (Plains-Fairview) to Burlington GO and connect with a rail replacement bus to continue to Union Station.

From Burlington GO, if you’re travelling eastbound towards Union Station, connect with a replacement route 18 GO bus March 23-24.

From Bronte GO, if you’re travelling to Union Station March 23-24, connect to Oakville Transit Route 18 (Glen Abbey South) to Oakville GO and connect with a rail replacement bus to continue to Union Station.

For Oakville GO, if you’re travelling eastbound towards Union Station March 23-24, connect with a replacement route 18 GO bus.

From the Clarkson GO station, if you’re travelling eastbound towards Union Station, connect with a replacement route 18 GO bus March 23-24.

If you’re travelling to Union Station from Port Credit GO, connect to MiWay Route 23 (Lakeshore) to Clarkson GO and connect with a rail replacement bus to continue to Union Station for the weekend of March 23-24.

Some late-night train service on Friday, March 22 will also be adjusted.

GO Transit and Metrolinx said train service is being modified so that GO can perform “important maintenance projects and key infrastructure updates.”

Work may be adjusted, rescheduled, or extended due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances,” GO Transit said in a statement online. “Please plan ahead.”
