As of 3pm Wednesday March 6th, those interested in succeeding Bonnie Crombie as Mississauga’s mayor may submit their nomination papers.
Nominations will be accepted until April 26th at 2pm ahead of the Mississauga mayoral byelection scheduled for June 10th.
A free candidate information session is set for the evening of Tuesday March 26th for those interested or just considering running for mayor.
People may attend in person at Mississauga City Hall in the council chambers or watch the livestream.
Bonnie Crombie resigned as Mississauga’s mayor after winning the leadership of the Ontario Liberal party in December.
Crombie became mayor of Mississauga in 2014, following the legendary Hazel McCallion who was Mississauga’s mayor from 1978 to 2014.
