While King Charles III has stepped back from his public duties to begin cancer treatments, his wife, Queen Camilla, has been out and about assuring the King’s subjects that he’s doing as well as can be expected.

That’s Queen Camilla attending an event at Salisbury Cathedral last night.

She told the crowd that the King is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances and has been deeply touched by the letters and messages from well-wishers.

Monday, Buckingham Palace announced the King’s cancer diagnosis.  It was detected while he was undergoing treatment for an enlarged prostate last month.

The type of cancer has not been disclosed, although the Palace says it is not prostate cancer.
